Anonymous asked: How you feel about popular stores selling Kurt Cobain/Nirvana t-shirts?

I hate it. Selling them in places like Urban Outfitters/Topshop/H&M makes it into a fashion statement, something that is popular for a short period of time then considered unfashionable when something better comes along. If your going to wear band t-shirts then buy the official merchandise. Its one tiny step in showing you are committed to the music for the right reasons. The ones they sell in popular shops are unofficial and are double the price of official merch tees. If I see you in one of those Urban Outfitters Nirvana tees I’m going to presume you only know the well known songs and only bought the t-shirt because you are an asshole that follows at the moment popular fads and not a real fan.
